CGST, SGST, and IGST
Intra-state supply uses CGST plus SGST (or UTGST). Inter-state supply uses IGST. Place of supply decides, not the software brand.
HSN and SAC on invoices
HSN classifies goods. SAC classifies services. GST invoices need the code on lines so returns and e-way documents can match the supply.

Place of supply decides IGST vs CGST/SGST. It is a legal test, not a pin code guess.
Credit notes and debit notes
Credit notes reduce tax payable on a supply already invoiced. Debit notes increase it. Both stay in the same GST books as the original invoice.
Proforma invoice vs tax invoice
A proforma is not a tax invoice. GST liability follows the tax invoice (and the time-of-supply rules), not a quotation or proforma.
GSTIN format
A GSTIN is 15 characters: state code, PAN, entity number, Z, and a check digit. Format checks catch typos. They are not a GST portal registration lookup.
Indian financial year on invoices
Indian GST books run April to March, not January to December. Reports and CA packs should follow that year.
Tax invoice vs bill of supply vs e-invoice
A tax invoice, a bill of supply, and an e-invoice IRN are different documents. Software that prints a tax invoice is not the same as NIC e-invoice.
How to send a GST invoice
A GST invoice is a numbered record on your account. PDF and email are exports. WhatsApp is a share of that export, not a second invoice series.
